SLAM DUNK YOUR TRASH 2014

As we come to the end of the first quarter of 2014, SOFER Initiative brings together students, residents, visitors and basketball lovers to the much anticipated SLAM DUNK YOUR TRASH Competition, scheduled for the 29th of March 2014 at the University of Uyo Basketball Court, from 2pm. The activities for the event would include; - Slam Dunk Your Trash Competition (Slam Dunk Contest) - 3 R-Side Competition (3 Aside by 3 Teams (Teams Reduce, Reuse and Recycle)) - Pick n Trash (Pick up Litter Contest) - Fanitisation (Opportunity for the spectators to be a part of the Show) - Cheer Leaders - Dance - Music by DJ Preppy of the Calabar Carnival. This event is aimed at using the game of basketball to create awareness on litter and waste management using the 3 Rs (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). We are also giving back to the school by painting the basketball court and replacing the board and rim stand.
